We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented PostgreSQL Database Developer – Junior for a 3 months contract to join our growing team.

Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

● 2+ years of hands-on experience working with PostgreSQL databases in production environments.

● Strong foundation in SQL and relational database concepts.

Must Haves:

● Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL database development.

● Strong understanding of SQL in production environments.

● Experience in SQL performance tuning and query optimization.

● Knowledge of developing PL/pgSQL functions, procedures, and database logic.

● Understanding of database performance, integrity, and maintainability best practices.

● Ability to work closely with application development teams.

Preferred:

● Experience supporting live/production database systems.

● Exposure to data modeling and schema design.

● Basic understanding of indexing strategies and execution plans.

● Familiarity with version control and change management processes.

● Good communication and documentation skills.

Role & Responsibilities:

● Support, develop, and optimize PostgreSQL database workloads.

● Collaborate with development teams to design and maintain efficient data models.

● Write, review, and optimize SQL queries and PL/pgSQL code.

● Assist with database performance tuning and issue resolution.

● Ensure database integrity, consistency, and maintainability.

● Participate in troubleshooting production issues and implementing fixes.

● Maintain technical documentation related to database objects and logic.
