Mandatory
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical / IT preferred) or relevant Project Management qualification.
- Certifications: PMP or PRINCE2 (preferred).
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in large-scale infrastructure or technology rollout projects, preferably within utilities or energy sector.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale field technology rollouts (e.g. smart meters, IoT, radio systems).
- Strong background managing high-voltage substation or electricity distribution projects.
- Hands-on experience coordinating field crews and delivery partners (e.g. Zinfra or similar).
- Solid understanding of trunked radio systems (P25, TETRA, or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of Smart Grid technologies, distribution automation, and remote monitoring.
- Experience working within the Australian energy regulatory framework and AER pricing cycles.
- Advanced skills in project scheduling and delivery tools (MS Project, Jira).
- Strong financial management skills handling large CAPEX budgets.
- Excellent stakeholder, vendor, and cross-functional team management skills.
Preferred:
- Prior experience in utility or electricity distribution networks.
- Exposure to RMR technology or radio communications programs.
- Experience with GIS, SAP, or field service management platforms.
- Familiarity with Agile project delivery environments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of the RMR technology rollout across the electricity distribution network.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resourcing aligned with EDPR objectives.
- Oversee field deployment activities across Victorian sites, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery.
- Manage internal stakeholders across engineering, digital, and operations teams, as well as external vendors.
- Ensure compliance with National Electricity Rules, Australian Standards, and client HSEQ frameworks.
- Identify and manage project risks, planned outages, and logistical constraints to minimise customer impact.
- Track performance against baseline schedules and provide insights to senior leadership for decision-making.
