The Application Specialist-SAP HR position works as part of the application support team to assist with solution support and development activities. It provides a dedicated and
professional solution knowledge base, together with deployment and domain expertise.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented SAP SF Employee Central Payroll (Australia and New Zealand Application Specialist) to join our growing team.
Qualifications:
- 7 to 15 years of experience in SAP HCM Payroll AUS and NZ and SF Employee Central Payroll.
- Strong knowledge of AUS & NZ payroll regulations, tax requirements and compliance standards.
- Expertise in SAP HCM/SF AUS and NZ Payroll implementation and support experience.
- Should have been part of minimum 2 to 3 SAP HCM EC Payroll implementations.
- As HCM Lead should have managed Rollouts, Major Enhancements and upgrade projects.
- Experience working in S4/HANA environment preferable.
- Knowledge and experience in Payroll AUS and NZ Schema, rule changes.
- Experience of the end of year HR patching process.
- Interact with HRIS, Benefits and Payroll teams to understand the requirements and business needs.
- Production support and enhancement by troubleshooting and implementing configuration and technical changes.
- Integration experience with third party systems.
AUS Payroll Expertise
- Strong hands-on experience in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll for Australia, including end-to-end configuration and support.
- In-depth knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, PAYG taxation, superannuation, STP reporting, and statutory compliance.
- Expertise in SAP HCM Payroll Australia (PY-AU), including payroll schemas, wage types, processing and evaluation classes.
- Experience handling leave entitlements, termination payments, redundancy calculations, and year-end statutory reporting.
- Proven capability in integrating ECP with third-party systems and ensuring compliance with Australian employment standards.
SAP New Zealand Payroll Experience
- Hands-on experience in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll for New Zealand with full payroll lifecycle support.
- Strong understanding of New Zealand payroll regulations, Pay Day Filing, IRD reporting, and KiwiSaver compliance.
- Experience configuring salary structures, wage types, leave accruals, and termination payments as per NZ standards.
- Expertise in managing concurrent employment, YTD reporting, and statutory payroll forms.
- Proven ability to ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and seamless integration with Employee Central.
SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP) – Technical & Integration Experience
- Experience activating and configuring Employee Central Payroll, including provisioning and system setup.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Payroll Control Center (PCC), including process creation, alerts, off-cycle runs, and monitoring.
- Proven experience with Point-to-Point integration, BIB integration between EC and S/4HANA, and CPI integrations.
- Experience in data replication, time data integration (overtime, absences, work schedules), and connection validation.
- Solid expertise in payroll schemas, PCRs, and technical configurations supporting complex payroll scenarios.
