We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 Support Consultant to join our growing team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Overall experience should be 10-14+ years in Microsoft Dynamics AX / ERP support roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with MS Dynamics AX 2009 across technical and functional areas.
- Proven experience supporting mission-critical legacy applications in production environments.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 (Technical & Functional).
- Experience in Microsoft CRM Solution Design.
- Hands-on knowledge in (Morphex Reporting, AIF configuration, Batch Job creation, X++ coding and troubleshooting, AX Debugging tools, Data refresh and Business Connector configuration).
- Experience supporting ISV / Vertical solutions integrated with AX (PeoplePoint mandatory).
- Strong production support mindset with focus on business continuity.
- Experience with managing incidents, changes, and service requests via ServiceNow.
- Experience supporting higher education or public sector environments.
- Strong documentation skills (SMTDs, run books, KB articles).
- Exposure to environment optimization and process improvement initiatives.
- Ability to work independently in a senior / lead support capacity.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Provide L3/L4 support for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 and associated ISV (PeoplePoint).
- Ensure high availability and business continuity of the AX platform.
- Diagnose and resolve complex production issues using AX debugging tools and X++.
- Manage and support integrations, batch jobs, reporting, and data refresh activities.
- Handle incidents, service requests, and changes through ServiceNow.
- Ensure SLA adherence and timely resolution of production issues.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with users to understand and resolve functional and technical issues.
- Create and maintain operational documentation, run sheets, and knowledge articles.
- Periodically review and optimize application environments and support processes.
