Qualifications:
- 8–12+ years of hands-on experience in Solaris engineering and administration
- Strong experience supporting enterprise-scale UNIX environments
- Expert-level experience in Solaris OS (administration, troubleshooting, storage)
- Strong expertise in LDOMs and Solaris Zones (branded, kernel, native)
- Extensive experience with Solaris Cluster
- Hands-on experience with Oracle VM Manager and Oracle Enterprise Manager
- Expert-level scripting skills (Shell / Perl / Python)
- Strong experience with SPARC hardware, including architecture and key components
- Experience in large enterprise or mission-critical environments
- Exposure to high availability, disaster recovery, and performance tuning
- Experience working in regulated or production-critical systems
Responsibilities:
- Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Solaris systems across enterprise environments
- Manage and support LDOMs, Solaris Zones, and Solaris Clusters
- Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning
- Support Oracle VM Manager and Oracle Enterprise Manager operations
- Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline system operations
- Work closely with infrastructure, storage, and application teams to resolve issues
- Provide support for SPARC hardware, including fault analysis and remediation
- Ensure system stability, availability, and compliance with operational SLAs
