The role is based in Melbourne, primarily supporting a Victorian energy utility, where you will be in a hands-on role, providing application support to the client’s GE PowerOn Advantage ADMS platform. This includes providing business-as-usual support, incremental platform improvements, alongside application design and automation.

Qualifications:

• Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering / Information Technology or related field is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in operational support, or upgrades of GE PowerOn DMS / OMS systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience using, supporting and upgrading ADMS applications.
• Development skills (such as PLSQL, PERL , JAVA Script, SOAP integration).
• Utilities industry experience and knowledge of key regulatory requirements related to energy markets and DNSPs.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines and targets.
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Problem Solving - ability to manage multiple issues at once, and priorities independently.
• A key team player with the ability to support, encourage and mentor others.

Key Responsibilities

• Working experience of supporting, installing and configuring GE’s PowerOn Advantage ADMS components.
• Working experience with advanced capabilities such as DPF, FLSIR, Wide Area Restoration, HV DER Management.
• Active development of the product roadmaps and maintain their alignment with the Application and Infrastructure vendors’ capabilities.
• Communication and collaboration skills across business, supplier and partners both in Australia and internationally.
• Contribution to the creation and maintenance of policy, standards, procedures and documentation for security.
